This fight alternates between two phases: a P1 and an intermission.
In P1, adds spawn frequently. Kill them quickly, as they deal increasing damage.
When Gnarlroot gets to 100 energy, an intermission starts. He becomes immune and builds walls of roots.
Touch the roots to burn them. When all roots have been burned, the boss takes 100% more damage for 20s, then P1 starts again.
Tank Gnarlroot near the edge of the room so adds spawn in a group.
Dodge the cone and explosions. Spread to drop your fire patch. Kill the adds as they spawn.
EVERYONE
DODGE AND KILL ADDS
Regularly, Gnarlroot creates lines of explosions. They deal damage to players and spawn Tainted Lashers.
Kill the lashers as they spawn. Let the tanks build aggro before nuking them.

SPREAD FROM THE RAID
TO DROP YOUR FIRE POOL.
Regularly, Gnarlroot marks a few players with a circle. This deals damage to nearby players, and after 6s, players drop a fire pool.
Pools remain until intermission. Drop them away from the raid.

Regularly, Gnarlroot turns toward a random player and casts a fire cone. Dodge it.

Deals Physical and Shadow damage over 2s to the active tank.
Each hit applies a stacking 24% Shadowflame vulnerability.
Lashers sometimes deal damage and debuff their target, giving them a 10% vulnerability and a 15s stackable bleed.
Each active lasher increases the damage of nearby lashers by 10%. At 15 stacks, lashers become immune to CCs.

Gnarlroot builds walls of roots in the room, knocking back and dealing damage to anyone standing where they spawn.
Intermission ends once they are all destroyed.

After each intermission, Gnarlroot gains a 10% damage increase buff that stacks.
